How we work
Every engagement follows the same five steps. From the first conversation to your handover, you'll know what's happening, when, and what comes next - no chasing, no jargon, no surprises.
Discovery call
Free, 30 minutes
Start with a free 30-minute conversation. We'll listen to where you are, what's prompting the question - a customer asking for Cyber Essentials, an NHS contract requiring the DSP Toolkit, a board question about GDPR - and what good looks like for you. By the end of the call you'll know whether we're a good fit and what we'd recommend you do next. No obligation to engage us afterwards.
Fixed-price proposal
Within one working day
Once we've understood your situation, you'll receive a written proposal within one working day. It sets out the scope, the fixed price, the timeline, and what's included - and what isn't. Nothing hidden in the small print. Read it at your own pace, ask any questions, and only commit when you're ready.
Kickoff
Within one week of sign-off
Once you've signed the proposal, we'll be in touch within a week to kick off. You'll receive a short list of what we need from you to get started - usually a few details about your IT setup and a single point of contact for the engagement. We agree a target completion date together and get to work.
The work
Weekly progress updates
You won't have to chase us. Every week, you'll receive a short progress update - what's done, what's next, and anything we need from you. Most clients carry on running their business while we handle the work behind the scenes; we'll only get in touch when there's something we genuinely need from your side.
Handover
And what's next
When the work is complete, we'll hand over a clear summary of what's been done, the controls in place, and your certification (where applicable - including the IASME Cyber Liability Insurance that comes with Cyber Essentials for UK organisations under £20m turnover). We'll also talk through your options for staying compliant - annual renewals or a monthly retainer - with no pressure either way.
